The Great Unhearing

from Noise & by Vincent Giles

/

about

Originally an installation piece, as part of the Troika exhibition at the George Paton Gallery, University of Melbourne. All sounds derived from piezo recordings on plants in the Systems Garden, and field recordings in the same garden. Thanks to Aneta Trajkoski for inviting me to be part of Troika.

If you want to enjoy it as originally intended, set two speakers up opposite each other across an acoustically resonant space.
