about

This is the complete performance of Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, composed for Love/City III - The Planetary. It is a piece for computer and found household objects. The MaxMSP patch determines, partially, the form of the piece by making decisions about what to playback, how, and when, based upon incoming spectral analysis of the composer improvising with found household objects.

First performance and installation at the Love/City III Festival, Testing Grounds, Melbourne. 26/2/2016.

Improvisation includes Alice Bennett as an additional set of hands.

The work has here been split into two parts in order to facilitate a) a shorter, "radio friendly" excerpt, and b) the Bandcamp size limits.
